This session will cover the advanced usages of 960.gs by pushing theming & grid based layouts further with preprocess functionality in the theme layer. The Omega Theme is currently a leap ahead of any other base theme in Drupal 7, and is continuing to expand new features that will revolutionize theming in D7.
This session will be a combination of concepts & information from presentations I've given on 960.gs and the Omega theme at Drupalcon Paris, DrupalCamp Montreal, DrupalCon San Fransisco and Drupal Design Camp Boston - 2010.
However, this session is COMPLETELY updated with Drupal 7 code, tons of new features, a radically enhanced interface for the theme settings provided by the Omega theme in Drupal 7, and much more!!

Presentation from DrupalCon San Francisco.
This session will cover from the basics to advanced usages of 960.gs, and tackle issues including how to start using it to simplify your site layouts and theme setup, how to quickly wireframe your site in a way that will truly represent your final product after design implementations, pushing theming & grid based layouts further with preprocess functionality in your theme layer.
This session will appeal to both those new to grid systems and 960.gs, and will also further appeal to those users that have used 960.gs, the ninesixty theme and others, and want to explore better options for implementing grid based designs in Drupal.

In preparation for my upcoming presentation at Drupalcon San Fransisco on the Omega theme and Elevating 960gs in Drupal with the Omega theme, I wanted to prepare a short intro to the 960gs concepts.
There will be a session by Todd from Four Kitchens just prior to mine (in the same room even) where Todd will discuss Accelerated grid theming using NineSixty and the 960gs background and basics. Everyone SHOULD attend this session prior to mine unless you already have a good understanding of 960gs and the classes involved with it, and the usage. For those who may not have been able to see both, I'll put up this 30 minute introduction to 960gs in Drupal that will serve as the beginner intro to 960.
This will also be a presentation (modified some later) to present locally at meetups to further push the basics of 960gs.
So, if you haven't yet discovered the wonder of both the 960gs and my Omega theme, be sure to see these related items in addition to this intro video:
Also be sure to attend these sessions at Drupalcon San Fransisco to further your knowledge of the 960gs.
The slides for this presentation can be viewed on Google Docs.
