Things have been crazy of late since taking the YourSports project. It is coming along nicely, however, my inbox, and voicemail have been working overtime taking messages on potential work that I'm scrambling to bid on and fit into the current schedule I'm working with.

So after some thought & persuasion(s), I decided to rework a few elements to the new corporate design for Himerus Inc. The sticky notes were cool when putting together the old version of the site, but not up to par with this re-design, so they had to be re-thought.

After recently doing a complete overhaul of JakeStrawn.com, and this new himpressive theme here at Himerus.com, my corporate site was lacking some luster that in originally had in concept, and needed a fresh new design.

I have been developing Drupal websites for a couple of years now, have been developing websites for the past decade, and have quickly converted to the Drupal revolution to handle a majority of my projects. Drupal is a very well thought out and extensible content management system originially created by Dries Buytaert.

I've been thinking this over since I updated to this new himpressive theme, and have made the decision to scale back on the content of the Himerus Inc. site.

The site itself is great, I still like the design, and concept of the site, but with that in mind, I really can't take the time to maintain two blogs or sites with content basically on the same topic. So the site will be scaled back to only encompass basically a brochure site with information on the web design & development services I offer under the Himerus Inc. name.

I've updated the himerus.com site to Drupal, and decided once again to make it a project I keep on the front burner for personal blogging purposes.

After tons of time with the slow Wordpress theme it was on, himerus.com is going to get a great upgrade to Drupal, and have a mild implementation of the Himpressive theme.

Himpressive was a theme that I started probably over a year ago, and when I was sooo close to being ready to convert it from my photoshop layout, the hard drive I had it on crashed, and it was lost forever. I spent some time immediately following to try to recreate it from memory, but got bored quickly, and it's been sitting for awhile.

I've really been impressed with Drupal 6 over the past week that I've been able to set it up and play with it a little both in testing phases, and for production sites.
