PingThis - Drupal 6 Module

Currently, using the PingThis module, will allow you to add a link to your posts that will give yourself along with visitors to your site the ability to quickly share posts by using Ping.fm. There couldn't be a better way to allow users to promote your page(s) than by simply posting it to ALL of their social networking sites at once!!

ShareThis - Drupal 6 Module

The ShareThis module is developed for Drupal 6 and future updates/versions only.

By using the sharethis module, you are able to implement the ShareThis social bookmarking utility on selected node types. (http://sharethis.com) The code for this project was based on the original share project for Drupal 5.x. The code for this project has been trimmed down to only work with the ShareThis system, and not require any additional modules to work properly.

Idea: Drupal 6 Module: Ping This

UPDATE: This module has an official release thread here at himerus.com. Further comments should be submitted there.

Quick review of Ping.fm

After about a week of getting the great opportunity to test out Ping.fm, I wanted to take a few to post a quick review of my experience w/the service so far.

With the never ending growth of social media/networking sites, it becomes impossible to maintain all of these sites with current information. Ping.fm simplifies this problem for overly social internet whores. Until I discovered ping.fm, I was only using Facebook, and just discovering Twitter. I simply refused to join all of the sites that "everyone" found popular. But since I am using Ping.fm now, I have joined up with about 10 total social sites!

Well, it's been awhile since I really went about promoting myself, and pushing what I do and who I am to the world, however, with the upcoming possibilities, it's time I organize my online social life, and employ the tools best suited to get me in and keep me in contact with the people I really give a crap about, and the network of people I don't know but might share interests with.

How to Make the Digg Home Page

A great article on promoting your site through digg, and building an active community that follows your bloggings.

This seems to have a lot of valid ideas that I hope to implement with some of my own blog posts. (after I have something decent to write about and share)
