I just for the first time this morning while watching Sci-Fi found out that there was another Stargate movie, Stargate: Continuum slated to release to DVD on July 29th. I had heard previously when the Ark of Truth was in production that there was already 2 scheduled for production, and a potential string of SG-1 adventures to go straight to DVD. So after a quick search on my favorite torrent site, woot!, there it was ready for me to download!!! (I wont pretend that I don't condone torrent downloading, however, this is one movie I will be buying the day it comes out, I just couldn't wait another two weeks to see it.)

I will be hoping for many more in this series of straight to DVD movies from the SG-1 franchise. The epic 10 season show on Sci-fi has only been complimented by both this new movie, Continuum, but also the epic end to the Ori story line in Stargate: The Ark of Truth as well.

This continuation of the SG-1 franchise gets 3 massive thumbs up in my book.

As another note, upon doing some reading regarding this film, I just found out and am quite saddened to find out that Don S. Davis, General George Hammond of SG-1 passed away June 29th, 2008. He was 65 years old. Davis' character added a great deal to the SG-1 series, and Stargate fans everywhere will miss him greatly for his contribution.
