Web Design & Development & other random crap is what I'll be blogging about here...

In Route: Pro Drupal Development SE

Earlier today, I got an email from one of the Apress editors asking for a quick review of a proposal they had received on a title regarding jQuery and Ruby on Rails. It ended up opening up some communication again regarding my potential to autor a title on either jQuery or maybe Drupal depending on what's on their current list of needed titles.

After sending my review back in, I was offered to pick out a title I'd like, and my favorite Apress editor would send it over to me! So of course, the first book I thought of was Pro Drupal Development, the second edition, which updates on the first edition, and covers Drupal 6 topics.

I couldn't be more excited to get my hands on this title, and it wasn't until later today I realized that it's not even set to release until the 25th of this month, but my copy is in the mail today!

I'm still a bit confused if Dries Buytaert is an author or not... it lists him, but according to the Apress page, it shows that he wrote the foreward, just as in the previous, first edition.

Anyway, look forward to a review of this very shortly after I get my hands on it... shouldn't take me more than a day or two to get through the meat of the changes to the text from the original.

Be sure to pre-order today... Amazon is listing them for 37% off of cover price!!

Pro Drupal Development just Arrived!!!

I'm so happy I can't see straight... The copy of Pro Drupal Development that I was getting set to me for the quick review of a jQuery Apress project just arrived!

It looks very sexy, and I can't wait to get started digging into the differences in the two texts, and expanding further my knowledge of Drupal 6!!!

A full review will be coming after I get a chance to get a handle on what all is in this text.
