Himerus Inc. has been contracted by YourSports.com to create a dynamic video community powered by user voting. YourSports is a sports video community that targets amateur sports, and leading the way to get your sports videos and highlights onto major network television. YourSports is changing the economics for amateur sports.

The Seattle-based sports media company leverages the web to broadcast
games both LIVE and ON DEMAND, while giving amateur sports a way to
finally monetize 100% of its most valuable asset: it’s Broadcast Media Rights.

Most recently, YourSports broadcasted 32 games LIVE from Spokane's Hoopfest
--the largest street basketball tourney in the world--and put its top 10 plays on
Cable TV in ~800k households, earning Hoopfest a new $2,250 revenue stream.

YS is the premiere LIVE broadcast network for high school and club sports.

The video API will be powered by Eyespot.com. I will be working out a custom community module for Drupal 5.x, followed by a Drupal 6.x version when time allows. Project information can be found at http://drupal.org/project/eyespot. More information on the Drupal module will come avaialbe as time permits, and as code and features begin to fall into place.

This promises to be both a fun project, and a great group to work with. Their vision is unique, and they already have a great head start working with Comcast to publish thier "YourSports 10" highlights in the Seattle area in the near future.
