Final decision for online portfolio presentation...
This has been an item that has been eating me alive for better than 3 years. For every new website I put together for my business or personal needs, the portfolio, and how to properly display projects that I've worked on is always in question.
Most recently, when launching the latest corporate site for Himerus Inc. I had in mind some fancy jQuery portfolio slider that would be all cool & interactive, but to be honest, formatting the screenshots, and getting the content right, along with worrying about the way the advanced layout works cross browser becomes problematic to say the least.
On the previously updated version of this site, prior to the himpressive theme, I had used the galleria jQuery plugin to just provide tiny thumbnails on the fly with a larger version upon clicking. This too posed problems as well, there simply wasn't any information about the items, I had to rely on the photo and a link to the site being enough, which it really isn't.
So, without further delay, to be simple, yet as descriptive as possible for some projects, I've decided to say screw it, and make each one different as I see fit at the time. I have created a section specifically for Projects, and each site I work on will be featured here, receiving it's own node related to what went into the site, including screenshots, and a link to the site as well. With this in place, if a project was really advanced, I can decide at the time to spend some extra time creating a really nice page or set of pages related to the work done on that project, and style each page appropriately depending on the content.
I've created blank pages for many of the more recent projects that I'd like to feature, and continue referring people to for examples of my work, and I have finished some preliminary content to the page on my own personal resume as a test for this idea, and it looks pretty good to me.
I think that this will likely end the portfolio on himerusinc.com all together. This site, with a great layout/theme will likely also end the blogging there as well, and be the first step towards scaling back that site completely, and making it a small company brochure site, and turning this into the site that I really try to initially pump traffic to, and the corporate site being a secondary/final stopping place for additional information on business services. More on that to come.

Will be adding more soon...
I forgot to mention above that those pages that I created which are empty now, I will be referring back to soon, one at a time for screenshots, and information on the projects.
I will go back through them all tomorrow, and at least throw in the link to the site/project in the meantime until I get more information up.
Links added to project pages...
I added in links in the project section for the posts that I haven't had time yet to get back to. This will at least get someone in the right direction to check out live versions of the sites in question. There are a couple of projects that still don't have a final version launched yet and are still in approval phase, so those will have links added when appropriate. (I don't want to post links to the development site I use at the moment)
Once all the items have had proper screenshots and information inserted, I'll go back, and work up some additional posts on other work like business cards, etc.
