As I mentioned the other day in my post more focused on my love for Drupal and its community, I recently had the great pleasure of attending DrupalCamp Montreal. This camp was only my second weekend event with the first being Design4Drupal in Boston last June, followed by my first Drupalcon in Paris in September.

Each of these 3 events, Boston, Paris & Montreal were actually my first visit to each of those cities respectively, which is quite odd, since the upcoming DrupalCamp NYC will also be my first trip there as well! I was able to present in Paris and in Montreal, and have really enjoyed becoming more involved as discussed in my earlier post.

So I must say without going too much into everything that Montreal was a HUGE success in my opinion, and I fell in love with the city of Montreal, and it's people, and it's growing Drupal community! I was surprised during the opening remarks when people were be asking to raise their hands if "You are from Montreal", "You are from elsewhere in Canada", and lastly "If you crossed over a border to get here". Surprisingly, those of us that made the trip from the U.S. was quite small with most of that group being our Boston area friends, and 5 of us from CommonPlaces.

I could go into long thank you's and try to remember everyone I had the pleasure to meet at the event, but I won't do that here, Aubrey did that quite well on her blog here. Be sure to check that post out as well.

I will simply say that Omar Bickell ( @omarbickell ), who I did have the pleasure of meeting the first time in Paris, did an amazing job at pulling of this event with the help again of ALL the others who deserve just as much credit, but overall, Montreal was a great time, a great place, and a fantastic host for the Drupal community. I can't wait to see you guys again next year!
