Well, it's come quite fast, but here is the new year & new decade just a short while away. This past year has been a crazy whirlwind for me personally and professionaly, and 2010 promises to likely continue down that same path.
2009 was a "ramping up period"
Of course I moved from my long time home in Colorado during 2009, and made my way to New England for a job that later didn't work out, but provided me 6 months of stability in a new location, a great group of new friends & associates, and a lot of great memories. 2009 also really changed both my dedication and immersion into the Drupal community. I attended D4D back in June in Boston, made it to Drupalcon Paris in September for my first Drupalcon event, and Drupalcamp Montreal following that up. I now regularly attend the Boston Drupal Users Group, and still skirt around the New Hampshire group, and always end up missing them for some reason!
2009 also ended for me as a freelancer/contractor again, and that has been the most rewarding change of all. It has brought me back to the life I enjoy leading, to being my own boss, making my own schedule, choosing what I want to work on or not, and most importantly not having to deal with higher ups that are complete douche-waffles. This last spurt of freelance work again has really reaffirmed why I worked freelance for so much of my professional career.

The 2010 Agenda
With all the great things that have transpired for me in the past year, the upcoming year promises to be very sucessful, and really put me where I want to be with life, work, love, family, etc.
Life
On the topic of life, my only goal is that things continue on as they have been. When my lease is up in May, I will likely either be moving into Manchester, or Boston just depending on how I really feel about it at the time. I really enjoy New Hampshire, and Manchester is pretty nice, and centrally located, but at the same time, I do love the big cities, and Boston is pretty much pure awesome.
I should also quit smoking, drink a little less, and eat healthier, but let's be serious shall we?!
Work
With work & Drupal, my freelance work will be spinning into high gear, and potentially even get to a point where I'm bringing on others to help me with all the work on my plate. I will be attending Drupalcon San Francisco in April, and will also plan to attend the next European Drupalcon that will be in Copenhagen next fall to continue pushing myself forward in the Drupal commuinty, and never hesitating to learn more!
I will also be launching ThemeGeeeks.com which is/was a project that has been on my plate literally for over a year and a half. I finally in the past month or two have had enough time to really lay down the groundwork for it, and expect it to be completed, and launched in the first quarter of 2010. ThemeGeeks is essentially another premium theme site with a model on user contributions and profit sharing.
I will also be helping put the next site together for Design 4 Drupal in Boston, and really look forward to dedicating a lot of time to that event, and furthering theming & design in Drupal.
Love
Well, I guess this isn't much of a topic for my blog, but still, that's got to go on the list of this coming year's "things on the radar". And let's face it, I'm not getting any younger! I guess you never know when that right person might pop up, so it's best I suppose to keep my eyes open!
Family
Prior to leaving Colorado I was always (with only a few exceptions) a few hours from family, but now I'm on the East coast, and the family moved to the West coast, so family time has been none in quite some time. I hope to be able to make a trip or two at least out to see the family, and hope they can make it out here at some point as well.
Going to be a great year!
All in all, I'm sure 2010 will be a great year, and I look forward to it!

Kick some ass, man. I see
